Corn bread production finds its place in production
Maize is a big agriculture item in the Uganda economy and grown widely across the country. Thus the production of corn bread is a gratifying idea, in which maize value addition is given preeminence. Lechem Limited a enterprise being incubated at the Uganda Industrial Research Institute has found its niche in the confectionary marketplace producing 30 kilogrammes of corn bread per week.
The bread has so far been applauded on the market as tasty and with a low sugar value and is currently circulating on the Kampala market.
