UGANDA’S AMBASSADOR TO UNITED ARAB EMIRATES ADDRESSES UIRI

UIRI staff were enthused to hear from Ambassador Zaake Wanume Kibedi, the Ugandan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates as he shared about the importance of the Institute in building youths skills and capacity to innovate.

He pointed out that UIRI was one of the government institutions that had the potential of solving youth’s problems.

The Ambassador who in the past served as Uganda’s Head of Missions for the Nordic Countries was instrumental in linking UIRI to Research and Technology Organisations in the Nordic region.

During his speech he spoke of opportunities that were ingrained in his new appointment as Uganda’s Ambassador to the UAE, since the United Arab Emirates served as the world’s business arm.

The Ambassador informed UIRI of the forthcoming renewable energy convention in Uganda and the 2020 World Expo in Dubai.
