On 24th June, the Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) was honored to host Hon. Lt. Col. (Rtd) Dr. Bright Rwamirama, the State Minister for Agriculture, at its Namanve Campus.
The Minister was officiating at the Uganda Agri-food Systems Investment and Financing Summit 2025, an event organized by the African Agribusiness Incubators Network (AAIN) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and UIRI as a co-host organisation. This summit is a combined support towards the implementation of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). The event was attended by over 400 participants from all Africa.
Prof. Charles Kwesiga, Executive Director of UIRI, warmly welcomed the Minister and took the opportunity to showcase UIRI’s agro-processing technologies and innovations, highlighting the Institute’s contribution to agricultural industrialization and value addition in Uganda.
