On 8th June 2023, UIRI scooped a 200Million Award in Mushroom Ganoderma Lucidum Research under the National Research and Innovation Call for FY 22/23-PRESIDE Projects Track Office of the Superintendent Industrial Value Chains Development under the Science, Technology and Innovation Secretariat – Office of the President (STI-OP).
Under the UIRI Mushroom Unit we look forward to doing more research with this grant to domesticate Ganoderma Lucidum, add value to it and use it to benefit other key sectors like cosmetics, health among others. Congratulations to the UIRI Mushroom Section Team led by Mrs. Jennifer Mayambala
