The Deputy Speaker of the 11th Parliament, Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwa paid a courtesy visit to UIRI’s MMISDC-Namanve and was received by the Executive Director, Prof. Charles Kwesiga who presented to him and his team the Institute’s past, present, and future.

Kwesiga highlighted the institute's achievements in the area of technology and innovation, as well as UIRI’s plans for the future.

The presence of the Deputy Speaker of the Uganda Parliament at the institute’s state-of-the-art facility was a testament of his commitment to the Institute and its cause. The Rt. Hon. Deputy Speaker and his team were led on a guided tour of the iconic facilities at UIRI-Namanve by the ED Prof. Charles Kwesiga.

Rt. Hon Tayebwa was impressed with the Institute's progress and expressed his full support. He noted that the Institute was a great asset to the nation and encouraged Prof Charles Kwesiga and his Team to continue to strive for excellence in all future endeavors to promote industrialization in Uganda.
