The Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI), is Uganda Government’s lead agency for industrialization, is implementing strategies and measures aimed at transforming industry in Uganda.
UIRI intends to pre-qualify bidders to provide works, services and supplies for a two-year period for the financial years 2024/2025 - 2025/2026. UIRI invites interested qualified bidders to submit sealed pre-qualification bids for the following categories of supplies, services or works;

Pre-qualification submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 of the Government of Uganda. Pre-qualification is open to all eligible bidders. No preference or reservation scheme will apply.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Uganda Industrial Research Institute and inspect the pre-qualification documents at the Procurement and Disposal Unit, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during working days.
The pre-qualification documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Procurement and Disposal Unit and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX. 100,000/=. The interested bidders should go to UIRI Accounts office to get a Payment Registration Slip that will be used to pay for the prequalification document at any Bank of their choice. Bidders may also get a Payment Registration Slip directly from the URA portal.
The document will be issued to buyers upon presentation of the application letter and payment receipt. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
Pre-qualification submissions must be delivered to the address below at or before 11:00 am on Wednesday 24th July, 2024. Late submissions shall be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at 11:30 am (EAT) on Wednesday 24th July, 2024 UIRI Conference Hall
