Production Manager

The Production Manager at UIRI's Namanve Campus (MMISDC) oversees production functions and ensures operations are efficient, effective and sustainable.

1. 01Plan, coordinate and control manufacturing processes and resources to service orders and achieve production goals.
2. 02Monitor, document and optimise production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
3. 03Contribute to strategic planning for the facility and align production goals with organisational objectives.
4. 04Supervise engineers, technicians, operators and trainees while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
5. 05Conduct regular audits of production processes and outputs and address issues promptly.
6. 06Prepare budgets and reports for the production function of MMISDC.
7. 07Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of five years in a senior supervisory or management position in a reputable entity engaged in heavy-duty manufacturing.
• Professional accreditation with industry-relevant associations or bodies is an added advantage.
